Rod accidentally strayed into the world of art during his late 40s. It was his metal fabrication co-workers who first glimpsed his unique artistic flair, appreciating the playful and unconventional touches he added to his workpieces. 

In the initial stages of his artistic exploration, Rod focused on crafting pieces inspired by the beauty of nature, emphasising precise proportions and form.

As time passed, Rod's confidence grew, allowing him to push the boundaries of his creativity further. His most recent sculptures have taken on a captivating and dynamic quality.  These artworks now exude a remarkable fluidity and are infused with colours, embodying the evolution of Rod's artistic vision.
