spent his early years painting at every opportunity. With both his parents prominent local artists he received informal training which further inspired his passion to paint. At just nineteen he held his first solo exhibition.
Painting in semi abstract style, birds and still life are favourite subjects with special interest in wrens and Chinese vases. Gold leaf features heavily in his work and he uses only the finest quality gold leaf and paints. Sixteenth century gilding techniques are used to apply the gold.
His paintings are finished with ultra violet protective glazing and hand finished frames made by Douglas.

New Work: Cate Edwards
spent her teenage years in the Eagle Bay area. However, her tertiary qualifications were achieved in Sydney and she remained there in a teaching capacity another 5 years. Following a successful exhibition at the Australian Craft Show in Sydney Cate withdrew from teaching to concentrate on her own work.
As a professional artist she creates paintings in mixed mediums with appealing and diverse compositions.
Feature Artist : Irene King
King's childhood was spent in the South-West of Western Australia on a farm in a natural setting. Her passion for art was encouraged by her mother at a very early age.
Irene has exhibited her paintings in several competitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions.
Her dreamlike figures are elegant and delicate and mirror the fragility of humanity and nature and our place in it.
