Featured Artist - Julie Silvester

Perth based artist Julie Silvester is fascinated by water. She has spent many years painting the coast of Western Australia and is adept at accurately capturing the beauty, mood and essence of the ocean. As well as these realistic pieces she also produces aerial views of the coast that are an abstract interpretation which allow more freedom in the use of colour, balance and impact.

Featured Artist - Ken Rassmussen

Ken Rasmussen has lived and travelled widely in Western Australia and spent time observing the landscapes in detail. He has been strongly influenced by the Pilbara, Kimberley and the South West region. Since graduating from Curtin University and beginning to paint professionally he has steadily gained a reputation that places him in the front rank of realist-impressionist painters working today. He is widely collected and his work is represented in many public and private collections both in Australia and overseas.
