Katherine Kalaf states "The island of Kastellorizo has been my inspiration." The collection of hand painted fabrics it inspired were an outcome to a visit to the Island in 2009 and subsequent purchase and renovation of a house on the island.

Katherine’s hand painted fabrics are made in small quantities and take pride in the quality of each individual piece. Painted on 100% cotton and 100% linen, the paint is infused into the textile fibres. Colour is painted directly onto the fabric surface using specially formulated waterproof fabric paints that are fast when dried and cured. Each successive painted layer adds to the brilliance and glow of colour.

In this way, unique tablecloths, tea towels, placemats and gifts are appreciated for their individuality.
