Originally from Melbourne, Debbie now lives on the south coast of Western Australia. Her passion to combine her love of art and wildlife to her own unique style is reflected in her perfectly executed artworks. As an artist, Debbie is very skilled with her pencil drawings, bringing them to life with watercolour, complementing the smallest detail. Also renowned for her work with other painting mediums, the artist creates artworks that are finely detailed masterpieces capturing the birds and animals we are so familiar with.

Debbie has been painting all of her life and recalls her childhood and adult years always with a paintbrush or pencil in her hand. Her focus on wildlife art is inspired by a passion for conservation, and she has formerly worked for Birds Australia as a researcher.

In 2008 Debbie fulfilled a thirteen-year dream to be accepted into the world’s most prestigious bird art exhibition held at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson art museum in Chicago. The ‘Birds In Art’ exhibition is an annual event, which hosts artwork from only 100 artists each year.
